Just when you thought Hot Toys collectible figures couldn’t be any more realistic, Filipino artist Noel Cruz is here to alter your perspective. Recently added to his lengthy portfolio of super realistic dolls is an amazing repaint; his tribute to the late Princess Leia actress, Carrie Fisher.

Cruz made a name for himself through his hyper-realistic doll repaints. He removes the original factory paint and brings the dolls to life using sheer talent and creativity. Most of the results look so real that you’ll have to look twice to make sure that you’re not looking at a photo of the actual person.

Cruz refers to Carrie Fisher as an “iconic role model” and he was inspired to bring her to life through his own creative means – the ultimate doll face-up.

For his Carrie Fisher tribute,  Cruz takes an already realistic Hot Toys figure and transforms it into something better. By softening her features, Cruz’s Carrie Fisher doll is much closer to the real deal. This doesn’t mean that the Hot Toys version isn’t impressive though. Below are a few comparison shots.

Cruz’ Carrie Fisher isn’t the only fascinating doll in his collection. He has repainted a wide number of celebrities and characters including Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.
